Summary of Diary Findings

1. The amount of time that I spend with media on a daily basis ranges from 5-6 hours. My I-Pod and cellphone make up those hours. I rarely watch television, and I am on the computer for homework most of the time.

2. I usually use newer forms of media ( I-Pod, cellphone, computer etc.) opposed to the more traditional forms ( CD's, landline, television etc.)

3. I use all forms of media except for my I-Pod with others. However I also use my I-Pod around others.

4. I use my television for both information and entertainment. I watch cartoons and the weather channels, and CP 24, the most.

Key Issues to be adressed

1. The media organizations that I mainly interact with are Apple, and Blackberry. Apple is owned by Apple Inc. and Blackberry is owned by RIM.

2. All media that I intake is globalized in my opinion. I have few Canadian songs on my I-Pod(more American, or Korean), and my phone has the ability to contact the world. The computer is linked to the World Wide Web, and I often see news affecting the world on television, or in the newspapers.

4. My media consumption is small compared to others. I rarely watch television or surf the web. The most media I intake is from my Phone or I-Pod. This is the thing which I have in common with most people... My I-Pod and music intake.I think that I listen to music rather than watch t.v. because I am doing other things while listening to music, where the television takes up my time.

What matters to Me...

For my grade 11U assignment, I was asked to write about what matters to me. Many things in my life matters to me, such as my i-pod,i-pod dock, psp, blackberry, headphones,shoes, clothes and bike. However, these are merely material things, and I would gladly give up any one of them, or even all, to keep the important things .... what really matter to me. My family, my friends, my talent and love for music. Those are things that I couldn't live without. I love my mom, my dad, my brother, and sister. They all mean the world to me, and not to get corny and shit, but they're the most important people to me. My best friend I don't even see as a friend, but more like a brother, and I don't care if people think I'm gay ... But I LOVE this guy. He has always been there for me, when everyone else ditched. I also love my girlfriend and my other close friends .... I only have a few. Everyone of these people matters to me. Music is my passion, and I'm beginning to lose sight of that. For hours I used to sit at the piano bench, not because I wanted to be the best, or play the most, but because I loved what I was doing, and I enjoy making sound out of nothing, and I enjoy it when people tell me I play with a little something else. Its almost as if I can put my emotion into the keys in front of me. Just being able to hear a song on the radio and to be able to play it on the keys matters so much to me. Anyways, getting back on track, listening to music also is important to me. I do it all the time, and it often cheezes people. Justice matters to me, as well as a sense of pride. I hate it when I see people picking on others, and I especially hate it when people think they can pick on me ... The 115 pound skinny asian guy ..... They don't even know whats coming. Creativity is important to me as well. I don't know how to express it in the form of art, so I express it in the way I dress and do my hair. I think that my swagger is very unique, and nobody else has it. Humor and good company matters a great deal to me as well. I love joking around, and often I will make a racist or sexual joke.People who are comfortable with that, or make jokes themselves are very fun to be around. Honestly, what matters to me the most right now is finishing this blog post so I can go to sleep. :P..... Fo' Love Fo' Sho
